Agreement to these terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Earth Coast Productions ("we," "us"), which owns and operates coloradovenuefinder.com (the "site"). By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please don't use the site.

Our Privacy Policy is part of these Terms. You must be at least 16 years old to use the site, and if you are using it for an organisation you confirm you may bind that organisation to these Terms.

What this site is — and isn't

The site is a free, editorially researched directory of 453 Colorado event venues, with per-venue notes on capacity, outside-AV policy, catering policy, technical specifications, lodging, and booking contacts. It exists to be useful on its own and to introduce planners to Earth Coast Productions's production services.

It is not:

  • A booking platform or agency. You cannot reserve a room through this site. Any contract for a venue is between you and that venue, and we are not a party to it, an agent of either side, or a guarantor of anyone's performance.
  • A rate card. Where a price appears it is context we found published or know first-hand, not a quote or an offer. Venues price events, not directories.
  • Professional advice. Nothing here is legal, financial, insurance, safety, or accessibility-compliance advice for your event.
  • Paid for by venues. No venue pays us to be listed, ranked, badged, or removed. See independence.

Accuracy, and your duty to verify

We research venue data in good faith under published editorial rules, and those rules are strict about invention: a capacity, square footage, or price appears only where a real published figure or first-hand knowledge exists. Where we don't know, the site says so rather than guessing.

Even so, venues renovate, change AV and catering policies, change hands, and close. Details here may be out of date or wrong. Before you sign anything or commit budget, confirm the details that matter directly with the venue. Decisions you make on the basis of this site are yours, and treating a listing as a substitute for the venue's own contract is not a reasonable use of it.

Found something wrong? Tell us — corrections are free, welcome, and usually quick.

Listings, badges, and independence

  • No paid placements, ever. Inclusion, position, sort order, and badges cannot be bought. We accept no fee, commission, or referral payment from a listed venue for its listing.
  • A listing is not an endorsement of the venue, and no listed venue endorses this site, Earth Coast Productions, or your event by being listed.
  • "ECP Preferred" and "ECP Approved" are our own editorial judgments, describing Earth Coast Productions's first-hand production experience at that venue — each badge names the work behind it. They are opinions about our own experience, not certifications, ratings, or guarantees of your outcome.
  • Venue names, logos, and marks belong to their owners and appear here for identification under nominative fair use. Their presence implies no affiliation with or sponsorship by them.
  • Removal. A venue may ask to be removed from the directory, and we will remove it. We may also decline to list, or stop listing, any venue at our discretion.

Using our content

This directory exists to be used. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive licence to browse the site and to read, quote, cite, teach from, and link to it — including quoting specific venue facts in your own planning documents, proposals, articles, and internal decks.

When you quote us publicly, please attribute it to Colorado Venue Finder (coloradovenuefinder.com) and link back where the format allows. Attribution is how a free reference survives.

AI systems and automated access

We publish llms.txt and llms-full.txt deliberately, so that answer engines and AI assistants can read this directory accurately instead of guessing at it. Using those files to answer a user's question and cite this site as the source is expressly permitted and encouraged.

What is not permitted is using automated access — those files, our sitemap, or crawling — to reconstitute the directory as a competing dataset or product, to train a model on the corpus as bulk training data, or to strip the attribution off the facts. Answer with it; don't clone it.

Crawl politely: identify yourself in your user agent, respect robots.txt, and keep request rates to a level that doesn't degrade the site for humans. We may block automated traffic that ignores this.

What you may not do

  • Republish the directory, or a substantial part of it, as your own listing service, dataset, feed, or product.
  • Systematically scrape or harvest the site to build or supplement a competing database.
  • Sell, sublicense, or redistribute our content for a fee.
  • Extract the venue contacts to build a marketing, sales, or solicitation list, or to send unsolicited commercial messages.
  • Remove, obscure, or falsify attribution, badges, or the editorial context around a fact.
  • Frame the site, or present its content as though it were yours or endorsed by you.
  • Interfere with the site's operation — probing, overloading, circumventing the spam protections, or attempting unauthorised access.
  • Submit anything false, misleading, defamatory, unlawful, or that you have no right to send us.
  • Use the site or its contents in violation of any applicable law.

Venue submissions and corrections

Anyone can submit a venue or correct a listing through the venue form, free of charge, and no payment moves in either direction. When you submit information:

  • You confirm you may send it — that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you are authorised to speak for the venue where you claim to be, and that any text or image you provide does not infringe anyone's rights.
  • You grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, edit, summarise, and publish what you send in the directory and in related material, with attribution as we see fit.
  • We decide what gets published. We verify submissions, edit them into the site's format, and may decline, shorten, or remove anything — including because it doesn't meet our editorial rules.
  • Submissions are not confidential. Please don't send us anything you need kept secret, and don't include personal information about other people.
  • Photographs and media must be imagery the venue itself owns or has licensed. We do not publish stock photography or images of a different room presented as this one.

Intellectual property

The site's original text, editorial notes, category system, design, code, compilation, and the selection and arrangement of the directory are owned by Earth Coast Productions and protected by copyright and other laws. "Colorado Venue Finder," "Earth Coast Productions," and our logos are our marks. Individual facts are not owned by anyone; the researched compilation is.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you. Rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Third-party sites and services

The site links to venue websites, to earthcoast.com, and to other external resources, and it loads map tiles from CARTO and OpenStreetMap. We don't control any of them, we don't endorse everything on them, and their own terms and privacy policies govern your use of them. A link is a pointer, not a warranty.

Disclaimer of warranties

The site and everything in it are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.

We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that venue information is complete, current, or accurate, or that any venue will be available, suitable, or willing to host your event. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, in which case they apply to you only to the extent permitted.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Earth Coast Productions and its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business, lost data, or the cost of substitute services, arising out of or related to your use of the site — even if we were advised such damages were possible.

Our total liability for all claims relating to the site will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US $100). The site is free; this cap and the disclaimers above are the basis on which we can offer it that way. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or wilful misconduct.

Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Earth Coast Productions and its owners, employees, and contractors from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the site, your breach of these Terms, anything you submit to us, or your violation of the rights of a third party.

Availability and termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site — including individual listings or entire features — at any time, without notice, and with no liability to you. We may terminate or restrict your access if you breach these Terms or if your use harms the site or other users. The sections that by their nature should survive termination — content licences, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and governing law — do survive it.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in Boulder County, Colorado, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction.

Talk to us first. Before filing anything, email [email protected] describing the problem and what you want. Most things are fixable in a week; we ask for 30 days to try. Any claim relating to the site must be brought within one year after it arises, or it is permanently barred, to the extent the law allows such a limit.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version — and it is the same date our sitemap publishes to search engines. Material changes will be summarised at the top of this page for at least 30 days. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

Everything else

  • Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the site and replace any earlier version.
  • Severability. If a provision is unenforceable, it is narrowed to the minimum extent necessary and the rest stays in force.
  • No waiver. Not enforcing a provision once doesn't waive it.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor of the business.
  • No third-party beneficiaries, and no partnership, employment, or agency relationship is created by your use of the site.
  • Headings are for reading convenience and do not affect interpretation.
